| Meet the Disciples of Christ |
We are located at 1982 Old Norcross Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Before Cruse
Road and Old Norcross Road intersect Sugarloaf Parkway near Highway 316, they cross
each other. New Hope Christian Church sits between these two roads with our parking lot
accessible from both. We are across the street from Maxwell High School of Technology
and the Oakland Cemetery on Old Norcross Road.
New Hope Christian Church has enjoyed a long history in this community. We have stood
as a beacon, declaring God's offer of hope through Jesus Christ, as the neighborhoods
around us have grown and spread. Many of our members vividly remember when the
church was surrounded by farm land. Gwinnett County has changed drastically over the
last several decades. But God remains constant. God's love, mercy, and grace have not
changed. Now that we have so many more neighbors, we seek to offer those neighbors
the new hope of eternal life with God through a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ.
New Hope Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is affiliated with the Christian Church
(Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, which has its national offices in
Indianapolis, Indiana. Our Regional church, known as The Christian Church in Georgia ,
has its offices in Macon, Georgia. Currently, the Rev. Dr. Sharon Watkins serves as the
General Minister and President of the denomination. The regional minister for the state of
Georgia is the Rev. Dr. Ray Miles.
